About (Fahim Ekbal Moledina)

Hi all, my name is Fahim Moledina and I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. I enjoy spending time with my family and two kids (A girl- 6 years old and a boy – 3-year-old). I like most Canadians love playing ice hockey and started skating when I was 4 years old and 32 years later still play ice hockey. I and my wife enjoy staying active as walking our dogs (I’m a pet lover- have a 4-year-old Shiba-Inu and 4 year old Husky, Pitbull, Chihuahua cross) and keeping our kids busy can take up a lot of time. I have a large family in Edmonton but have lived in many areas across Canada and visited every province in Canada except the Yukon, New Brunswick, and PEI. I enjoy traveling but do a lot less with having a young family now.

I’m a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks and am an Edmonton Oilers fan but am tired of the struggle for them to be relevant. Like politics and current events and all different types of food.

I love learning and have expertise in IT, finance, marketing, change management and project management but I continue to have a desire to learn so I have started to learn some programming languages as I have managed some extensive software development projects in the past. I currently am focused on completing my MBA and a lot of self-learning as well (am about to start 100 days of code challenge). I am always up for a challenge and love trying new things and expanding my skill set. Many people would call me a foodie I like to cook but I like to eat even more. I have an interest in current events and am always fascinated by politics. I am currently working at a digital transformation agency Output (as a Senior Project Manager and Solution Architect) and running my own consulting agency OptiSyn Consulting.

I have a passion for helping people and recently have started a consulting business but have mostly offered my services for free to charities and startups. I have a drive to connecting people to information that is distilled so they can make a clear decision. In much of my spare time, I enjoy making a difference in young people’s lives and continue to mentor some young professionals recently that I managed in the past. I realize that I have an interest and talent in coaching individuals and facilitating them to get the results they have been seeking. I want to continue to help people and make a difference in people’s lives. I believe in people and people, process, and technology are often the keys to many companies’ growth. I have extensive knowledge in all three and I do not promise to miraculously fix all your problems but I do think in partnering with me I can help facilitate and optimize growth be it personal or for your organization.

In my lifetime I have never stopped learning and do not plan to, be it from informal self-learning or from formal education and training.
